Rayson SealForce · Waterproofing membranes
Rayson SealForce AP05 is a one-part, water-based acrylic primer for the SealForce waterproofing range — brushed or rolled onto concrete, render, brick, stone and roof tiles to seal pores, bind dust and give SealForce AC10 a firm surface to bond to.
SealForce AP05 is the first coat of Rayson's acrylic roof and wall system: a milky-white acrylic dispersion in water, stirred and applied straight from the pail by brush or roller. It soaks into the surface, binds loose dust, firms weak surface layers and seals the pores, then dries to a clear film — the change from white to clear shows when it is ready for the membrane.

| Surface preparation | Surfaces must be sound, clean and dry, free of standing water, dust, oil, grease, laitance, curing compounds and loose or friable material; remove dust by industrial vacuuming or power-washing. Concrete must be at least 28 days old, with a pull-off strength of at least 1.5 N/mm², mechanically prepared to an open texture; repair cracks, voids and spalls with Rayson PatchBond TX80 and let the repairs cure. Brick and stone need sound, flush-pointed joints; tiles must be securely fixed, with broken or missing ones replaced, then power-washed and dried. Confirm adhesion with a small trial. |
|---|---|
| Mixing / dilution | One part, ready to use — stir for about 2 minutes with a slow paddle until uniform, without whipping in air |
| Application method | Brush, Roller |
| Coverage | Approximately 0.15–0.3 kg/m² per coat, depending on absorbency; a 20 kg pail primes about 65–130 m² per coat. Very porous surfaces take a second coat |
| Application conditions | Air and substrate between +10 °C and +35 °C; relative humidity at most 75%; substrate and fresh primer at least 3 °C above the dew point. Substrate moisture at most 5% by weight, visibly dry, with no standing water and no rising moisture. Protect from rain until dry. |
| Drying & curing | Dry when the milky white has turned clear — at least 1 hour, longer in cool or humid weather. Apply SealForce AC10 within 24 hours, cleaning the surface first if longer. Protect from rain until dry |
| Recoat interval | Overcoat with Rayson SealForce AC10 once the primer has dried clear: at least 1 hour, and within 24 hours (clean the surface first if longer). On very porous surfaces, a second primer coat goes on once the first has dried clear. |
| Film / thickness | Penetrating primer: about 0.15–0.3 kg/m² per coat, depending on absorbency. One coat, two on very porous surfaces. Applied milky white; dries to a clear film. |
| Pack sizes | 20 kg pail |
| Storage | Store in original, unopened, undamaged and sealed packaging in dry conditions, away from direct sunlight and frost. |
| Shelf life | Approximately 12 months unopened, in original packaging. |
